Hi there! I’m Amanda Smith, the heart and soul behind The Lofton.
Let me share a bit about my journey and what makes our venue so special.
My culinary adventure began at Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando. After graduation, I honed my skills in multi-million dollar catering services and restaurants across Florida and North Alabama. This experience wasn’t just about food—it was about creating unforgettable experiences.
In 2011, I took the plunge and started The Original Endless Catering.
It was exhilarating and challenging, but I knew I wanted to do more. That’s when the idea for The Lofton (originally Whistle Hollow) was born in 2015. We’ve grown so much since then, including a complete remodel in 2020 that expanded our space to 8,500 sq ft. We’ve since renamed our catering business to The Lofton Catering to serve our wedding and event couples with incredible buffet services.
But The Lofton isn’t just about me.
It’s about my family—my husband Josh and our boys, Ethan and Brody. When we’re not at the venue, you’ll find us cheering for Alabama football or splashing around in any body of water we can find. The boys’ baseball games keep us busy too!

We want your wedding planning to be gloriously easy, transparent, and supportive. With over 15 years of experience in events and catering, plus a fantastic network of vendors, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
We offer various packages to suit different needs—from booking the whole weekend to all-inclusive options. And we promise to always be upfront about pricing and options. No hidden fees or surprises here!
Our 36-acre property in the Tennessee Valley is truly a slice of paradise.
It’s a peaceful haven that offers a private feel for your guests and endless photo opportunities. We’ve even added on-site lodging, aptly named “Serenity,” so you can enjoy the property all weekend long.
